What is Reiki?

Updated: Apr 18

Reiki is a holistic approach to health and healing which works as complementary medicine for the benefit of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Reiki uses energy healing to bring the body into balance for what is needed at the time. Reiki encourages your system to come into balance where the body can heal itself. Healing occurs in the body when the nervous system is in balance. Reiki has been shown to calm down the nervous system which has several benefits on all levels of the body.

*Physical: Diminished pain response, Improved sleep, less sleep, better digestion

*Mental: More focused, less scattered or irritable

*Emotional: Less anxiety, depression, or anger - generally more content and happy in life

*Spiritual: Deeper connection to thy self, in relationship, and to life itself.

Studies have been shown as to how Reiki relaxes the body, slows down the breathing, improves the heart rate and blood pressure. "Reiki treatment was associated with an increase for all positive emotional states and reductions for all negative states." - Yale Study of Reiki.
